3 Days / 2 Nights To be scheduled For this hike we will climb the famous 1883 “big bang” Krakatau volcano. Krakatau, also called Krakatoa, lies in the Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra.

Gede-Pangrango (West Java - Indonesia)
4 Days / 3 Nights  
For this encounter we have chosen Gunung Pangrango and Gunung Gede in West Java, a three hour ride from Jakarta. Both peaks belong to the same volcano. Pangrango (3019m) is completely extinguished, while Gede (2958m) is still active. There are constantly fumes coming out of the crater and there is a distinct sulfur smell when standing on the crater rim.  
For our first Indonesian hikathon we head for the amazing Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park in East-Java. This will be our first Indonesian hikathon with five amazing hiking days in a row. Be prepared to hike about 80km in those five days, so being physically fit is a prerequisite for this hikathon. To be scheduled 7 Days / 6 Nights
Tengger-Bromo-Semeru (East Java - Indonesia)
Mount Rinjani on Lombok Island is said to be one of the most beautiful mountains in Southeast Asia. It stands 3,726 m above sea level and can be viewed from throughout Lombok. A huge ancient crater that became Segara Anakan Lake is known for its blue and green-coloured water with a new volcano, Gunung Baru, emerging from the centre of the lake, which often erupts lava and volcanic ash.

Mt. Kerinci is the second highest mountain (3,805 m) in Indonesia after Carstenz Pyramid in Papua and the second highest volcano in Southeast Asia. Situated in Kerinci-Seblat National Park that is spread over West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Jambi and Bengkulu Provinces, it is home to Sumatran rhinos, tigers and elephants. Reaching the summit entails 7 hours trekking through tropical rainforest and 3 hours on gravel and sand.

Flores and Komodo (Indonesia)
8 Days / 7 Nights  
Kelimutu is a volcano, close to the town of Moni in central Flores Island of Indonesia. It contains three summit crater lakes of varying colours. Komodo National Park is located in the centre of the Indonesian archipelago, between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores.  
Arjuna & Welirang
4 Days / 3 Nights  
After our previous encounter in the amazing Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park in East- Java, we will now head for Arjuna and Welirang, two volcanoes slightly more to the northwest.

Jogja Adrenaline Trip (Java - Indonesia)
This event has all the ingredients for a thrilling experience: underground exploration of the Jomblang cave, cross country cycling, white water rafting and last but not least, the climb of Java’s most active volcano, Mount Merapi. We’ll climb early morning to witness the sunrise at the peak. And of course Yogyakarta’s cultural heritage will be on the programme as well...
